Project Description
Project № ФП21-ФлФ-009 is financed by the “Academic Reseach” fund of the Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv under the regulations of the “Faculty Projects” 2021/2022 program.
Project Title: “Philologic and Methodic Challenges of a Thesis as an Indicator of the Academic Collaboration Dynamic of the Relationship between Affirmed and Young Researcher”
- The project focuses on the challenges "on the way" of the preparation and defense of diploma theses by students in the Bachelor's and Master's programs at the Faculty of Philology.
- Main objectives: Scientific examination of the problem of the collaboration between students and their supervisors; Expert developments in relation to the specifics of the scientific management of diploma projects covering topics from the wide philological spectrum; Methodological support for graduates and young supervisors; Construction of an electronic database of defended diploma theses in the period 2016-2020, which will provide a public platform for the achievements of the graduates;
- The sustainability of the project is related to: updating the created database; optimization of the entire process - from the criteria for starting a diploma project to its successful defense; forming and maintaining an alumni community of students who graduated by defending a thesis.
- The scientific team includes like-minded people who have long shared the idea of creating an Internet corpus, uniting and popularizing the diploma projects among the students at the Faculty of Philology. The team members have proven their experience in various humanitarian project activities.
- Among the main tasks set by the team to realize the goals in the project proposal are: creation of a specialized website; preparation of annotations; integration and organization of the corpus of defended diploma projects; research of the scientific literature in the field of diploma work; a permanent electronic inquiry card available to past and present graduates; preparation of scientific works by the teaching staff in the project team; organization and holding of a scientific forum and presentation of the achieved results; preparation and implementation of printed publications, etc.
