Project Supervisor:

Associate Professor Doctor Ani Ivanova Kemalova is a distinguished specialist in diachronic linguistics and Paleo-Slavic studies with a marked interest in the specific lexical and grammatical processes accompanying the development of the Bulgarian language. Author of numerous scientific publications on the diachronic features of our language, as well as aids with a unique format. She is the creator of a Study Guide, which was certified by the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria as a Useful Model of a study guide, protected and registered with No. 2630 from 07/06/2017. This is the first book-type study guide applied in our country in the field of humanities, which receives recognition as an invention within the meaning of the Law on Patents and Registration of Utility Models. Proof of the high scientific activity and productivity of Ani Kemalova is the promotion of innovative practices in the teaching of diachronic linguistics – “Virtual classroom”. The site has been operating since 2008 and it is a good example of introducing non-standard practices in the education of students studying historical linguistics.

Associate Professor Doctor Fani Evgenieva Boykova is a specialist in the field of Bulgarian language teaching methodology, with interests and publications on the problems of language policy in education; sociocultural competences; intercultural competences; the cultural and interactive approach in education.

Associate Professor Doctor Elena Slavova Getova is a specialist in Bulgarian literature, and particularly in the period of the Bulgarian Renaissance. She deals with problems affecting the specifics of the scientific text, its integration in the library space, and the perspective in the study of literary works.

Assistant Professor Doctor Rositsa Panayotova Dekova is a leading scholar in English Studies at the Faculty of Philology, a specialist in computational linguistics, infromation technologies in the humanities and digital databases.

Assistant Professor Doctor Krasimira Taneva Taneva is a specialist in Methodology of Teaching Literature with particular interests in the field of interpretive discourse and modern educational technologies. She is the author of methodological handbooks aimed at the expression and integration of young researchers.

Assistant Professor Doctor Sonya Krasimirova Aleksandrova-Koleva is a specialist in the field of comparative literature, with interests and publications on the problems of language learning for specific purposes; translation; cultural history; intercultural communication.

Assistant Professor Doctor Harun Harun Bekir is one of the most authoritative young Turkologists at the University of Plovdiv, whose scientific interests are in the field of sociolinguistics and the language policy regarding the Turkish language in Bulgaria. He has

Assistant Professor Doctor Mariyana Asenova Kartalova is a doctor in General and Comparative Linguistics with a special interest in Balkan contrastive phraseology. Her research interests are in the field of Balkan linguistics, Bulgarian-Greek comparative lexicology and phraseology, and the problems of the modern Greek language.

Assistant Professor Doctor Encho Tilev Tilev is a prominent young scholar with interests in the contemporary state of languages, he teaches Russian language, and works with students in non-academic research formats.

Doctor Bozhidara Nikolaeva Boneva-Kamenova is one of the young prospects of the Department of English and American Studies with interests in the field of English-language literature and foreign studies of English-speaking countries. There are excellent results from her work with students.

Tobias Fok is a lecturer in the Department of Romance Studies and German Studies. He holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Vienna in the field of Media studies and Cultural studies. Tobias Fok is a favorite teacher of students studying German and a favoured partner for collaborative work.
